Our Clinics & Services

Practice Nurses

The Practice Nurses carry out many of the screening checks, immunisations, chronic disease reviews, ear syringing, assisting with minor surgery procedures, and general health advice.  Nurse Carol Teese is a qualified Midwife and deals with ante and post natal checks.

Phlebotomist

The Phlebotomist is available Monday - Thursday mornings for taking blood samples that the doctors have requested. She does not deal with any other queries regarding your health. Primarily this service is for patients that are unable to access the Blood Clinic at Noble’s Hospital.

Test Results

Tests that your doctor has ordered are generally available 2-3 days from having the blood test done. It is the patient’s responsibility to ask for their own results, do not rely on the surgery contacting you.

Sick Notes

A doctor’s sick note is not legally required for absences of less than 6 days. For absences of 6 days or less you should complete a self-certification note (SC1) for your employer.

Private sick notes may be issued by your doctor, for which a fee is payable. Doctors are not able to complete any sick note for a new condition without seeing you.

Private Work - Including Medicals

Your doctor is happy to carry out private medical examinations in connection with insurance, sports or driving etc. A fee is payable for these services and you should check with reception about the cost when you ring to book. The fee chargeable is in line with the recommendations of the BMA. Please note that NHS and clinical requirements will always take priority over private work, and insurance reports may take up to 6 weeks to process.

Island Visitors

Visitors needing to see a Doctor can be seen by appointment only as either a Temporary Resident or a Private Patient.

If you are registered with an NHS doctor in the UK you can be seen free of charge as a Temporary Resident.

If you are NOT registered with an NHS doctor in the UK you can be seen as a Private Patient, for which charges will be incurred that are payable by cash or cheque at the time of the appointment.  Current charges are £40 for a consultation and £100 for a home visit.
