Urgent Appointment

Urgent on the day appointments are available if required, but they are unlikely to be with the clinician of your choice.  These are generally with the on-call duty doctor or the Paramedic Practitioner.

You are asked to ring in as soon as possible after 8am to secure one.

The receptionist may ask details of your problem to pass onto the doctor, and this information is treated confidentially but is helpful to the doctor.

Routine Appointment

Appointment times for GPs are generally from 8.00am to 11.30am and 2.00pm to 5.30pm and are of 15 minutes duration.

To request a routine appointment in the next 7 days:

  • phone us on 01624 686979, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm
  • visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm

If you are unable to attend the surgery to see a Clinician face to face our reception team are able to offer you a telephone consultation.

We do not offer a drop-in service.

Home visits

Whenever possible please attend the surgery for it is often easier for the doctor to examine and treat you in our well equipped premises. If, however, you are too ill to attend the surgery then please telephone 686979 before 11am and request a house call. Our receptionists have been trained to ask you for details of your illness. They are not being intrusive but need this information to pass on to the doctor to enable them to prioritise their calls.

If you need help when we are closed

If you need to see a doctor whilst the surgery is closed and it cannot wait until the surgery re-opens then contact the Manx Emergency Doctor Service (MEDS) on 01624 650355 and a doctor will be able to offer you advice over the telephone or a consultation

MEDS is available from 6pm-8am on weekdays, and all day on weekends and public bank holidays.

In case of a life threatening emergency, please dial 999

If you need help with your appointment

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone or face-to-face
  • if you need a chaperone
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs
